The front panel LCD lets you see video before routing and clearly displays routing labels. It has 10 12G-SDI inputs and 10 12G-SDI outputs plus reference connections in a one rack unit size. Dual built in power supplys for redundant power operates from 110V to 240V. Blackmagic Videohub 10x10 12G is an advanced zero latency video router that supports any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD on the router at the same time. A better solution is to feed the client/director monitor a SDI feed and use a SDI to HDMI converter at the monitor. Supports Blackmagic Smart Control and Master Control hardware router control panels. Blackmagic Design Smart Videohub 20 x 20 6G-SDI. That said, if the HDMI monitor is more than 10-15 feet away, youmare again going to have issues with HDMI long cable runs. This compact bidirectional converter can simultaneously convert SDI to HDMI. The Ursa Mini and Pro, have a downscaleable output that you can use to feed a HD signal to the VA tomsend on to the client/director monitor via HDMI. I connect the SDI In to the SmartView Duo and I did get an image with the histogram. Rather the VA takes the SDI input, sets it recording to match that input signal (UHD or HD 1080p30 for example) processes the signal to the recorder, then outputs the signal to SDI and HDMI ports, no up/down conversion, the signal resolution via the SDI or HDMI input is the same signal resolution that will be output the SDI and HDMI ports. I try to connect the ATEM Studio Converter to the SmartView Duo and it didnt give me image, just a scale with nothing on it. The SDI inputs and HDMI outputs are not directly cross-converted/connected like a SDI to HDMI adapter would be. What I meant was, if the VA receives a UHD resolution signal, it will record that resolution and output a UHD signal via the HDMI, with a slight lag, due to the VA internal processing of the signal. ![]()
